About Me

……………………………………………….. My Family………………………………

Not sure what will interest everyone with this one, but here it goes

Name: Rick

Age: 40

Married: Yes  and very happily

Kids: Yes twin girls. My wife and I adopted from Central America

Past Occupation: I was a Children’s Pastor/ Family Pastor for about 10 years at First Baptist Church of Lexington. I loved being a Children’s Pastor/ Family Pastor, but one day the senior Pastor (my boss) came in with bad news. He told me it was time to move on and Sunday (three days) would be my last day. He (the church) gave me a small severance package. He told me the reason for his decision was because he felt like I was just going though the motions and not giving the Ministry my all. In all honesty I would have to agree with him to a degree but without trying to make excuses I had some pretty good reasons why I was not giving it my all.

This all happened in May of 2007 a lot of water has gone under the bridge since that Thursday in May. I must admit it has been one the hardest trials I have experienced in my life. I wish I could understand the reasoning of the past events, but I am sure I will never understand . One thing I do know is I am resolved to keep trusting in God. I am constantly trying to live a life that conveys to God the believe that His desires for my life are better than the desires I have for my life.

Current Occupation: General Manager of Cayce Exterminating Company.
