Pollen days

In Columbia this time of year everything is coatd with a layer of yellow pollen. We had a light rain the other day for the first time since the pollen started happening this season and as you can see in the puddle a yellow film on the top of the water. Yep it’s pollen alright.

Yes, it also produces a lot of unhappy allergy sufferers…But the bushes look lovely!

It looked the same here in Little Rock. In fact, I posted a photo just a few days ago of a puddle that looked a lot like yours. Pine pollen was the culprit here. Now that’s about cleared out but, of course, there’s lots more pollen to come.

I have considered posting a photo with the title “what is everywhere and yellow all over”. I have to take an allergy pill every day until the pollen subsides.
