Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

Well it’s Sunday again and I try to always post a picture of a church on the first day of the week.Around my part of the world you can see Crosses and purple draped around them. I am not really positive what it means since it is not a tradition my church practices but I believe it has something to do with good Friday or something like that. Maybe someone can inform me as to the meaning.

    I think it has to do with the season of Lent, leading up the crucifixion of Christ. Purple is one of those symbolic colors — royalty, etc. You must check out one of my fav blogs — he has lots of Lent celebration pics. :)
