Blowing in the Wind
February 2, 2007

Not much of a picture but these plants have always seemed pretty to me. Growing up in southern California I remember finding one of these type of plants and cutting a few of those fluffy flowers down and bringing them home to my loving mother who promptly placed them in a vase to share with all who entered our house. I don’t know to this day if my mom liked them or was just being sweet to her favorite son. So what was it mom?

Yes I remember you bringing them frongs home. I loved them! And I still do especially early in the spring/summer before they would get all beat up. And I love that you would bring them to me. You are one sweet boy! mom

Oh she liked them! I remember her making me cut some down for her once. I’m not nearly as sweet as you because I didn’t want to do it!
